Sur une petite île du lac Victoria, au Kenya, les pêcheurs croient avoir le droit de tout faire, tandis que les femmes et les filles sont obligées de porter le fardeau du silence. Au cours d’un voyage intime dans ses souvenirs d’enfance, une jeune femme décide de raconter son histoire pour se libérer de son fardeau et trouver le chemin de l’espoir.

Iker Esteibarlanda (1992) trabaja como director, guionista y editor. Tras estrenar su primer cortometraje titulado BENEATH THE TREES (2014) en festivales internacionales y ser el director más joven de la Sección Oficial del 15º Festival de Cine de Lanzarote, ha desarrollando su carrera en el ámbito del cine documental, intercalándola con la realización de vídeos corporativos, pero siempre contando historias humanas. BEFORE I DIE (2020) es su segundo cortometraje.
Iker Esteibarlanda (1992) works as a filmmaker, screenwriter and editor. He premiered his first short film entitled BENEATH THE TREES in 2014 and he was the youngest director in the Official Section of the 15th Lanzarote Film Festival. From that time on, he has developed his career as a documentary filmmaker and producing corporate videos, always revolving around telling human stories. BEFORE I DIE (2020) is his second short film.
Iker Esteibarlanda (1992) travaille comme cinéaste, scénariste et monteur. Il a présenté son premier court-métrage intitulé BENEATH THE TREES en 2014, en étant le plus jeune réalisateur de la Section Officielle du 15e Festival de Cinéma de Lanzarote. Il a développé sa carrière dans le domaine du film documentaire, en le combinant avec la réalisation de vidéos d’entreprise, mais en racontant toujours des histoires humaines. BEFORE I DIE (2020) est son deuxième court-métrage.
