Alex y Ruth, son dos jóvenes que tras conocerse a través de una aplicación de solteros, conectan muchísimo. Tanto es así que en poco tiempo se hacen inseparables. Comparten piso, gustos, aficiones… Sin embargo Alex empieza a sentirse incómodo cuando descubre que Ruth ya no es ella y se parece tanto a él que ya no se reconoce en el espejo.
Equals tells the story of Alex and Ruth, two twentysomethings who meet through a dating app, with a real connection. Within no time they are inseparable, a happy couple. They move in together and share hobbies and tastes… Gradually Alex starts to notice that Ruth is changing, until she no longer looks like herself, but like a mirror image of him.
Alex et Ruth sont deux jeunes gens qui, après s’être rencontrés grâce à une application pour célibataires, ont totalement accroché. A tel point qu?ils sont rapidement devenus inséparables. Ils partagent un appartement, les mêmes goûts, les mêmes passions… Mais Alex va commencer à se sentir mal à l’aise en découvrant que Ruth n’est plus elle-même

Después de recibir diversos premios por sus cortometrajes y realizar trabajos de postproducción y realización para publicidad y ficción, en el año 2015 crea su propia empresa Wewotion. Javier Yañez (1982 Madrid, Spain) is a film director with a wide experience in well known advertising campaigns and fiction short movies. He has also directed music videos and other personal pieces as inspirational works. He is the CEO and founder of Wewotion, a production Company with clients like Fanta, Coca Cola, Desperados or Ikea. In 2013 he did the VFX of the short film «That wasn’t me», winner of the Spanish Film Awards «The Goyas», for Best Short Fiction and nominated for «The Oscars»
