M.A. Marqués, nacido en Mallorca a finales de los 90, se forma en realización audiovisual y cine en la EDIB, donde dirige su primer cortometraje, “Zama”, coproducido junto a Toni Bestard. El proyecto obtiene 43 selecciones en festivales, incluyendo seis calificadoras a los Premios Goya. En 2023 se traslada a Madrid para cursar dos másteres en guion y dirección en el Instituto del Cine. En 2024 cofunda Baldufa Films S.L. y dirige su segundo proyecto, Urtajo, junto al actor José Luis García-Pérez.
M.A. Marqués, born in Mallorca in the late 90s, studied audiovisual and filmmaking at EDIB, where he directed his first short film, “Zama”, co-produced with Toni Bestard. The project obtains 43 selections in festivals, including six qualifiers for the Goya Awards. In 2023 he moved to Madrid to study two masters in screenwriting and directing at the Instituto del Cine. In 2024 he co-founded Baldufa Films S.L. and directed his second project, Urtajo, with the actor José Luis García-Pérez.
