1588, un náufrago de la Armada Invencible enviada por Felipe II desde Lisboa para conquistar Inglaterra es capturado en una playa de Irlanda. Allí es juzgado, declarado culpable y ahorcado hasta su muerte. Todo sería muy razonable siguiendo las leyes de la guerra y el odio entre los seres humanos, el problema es que el prisionero es un mono.
1588 A shipwrecked member of the Spanish Armada sent by Felipe II from Lisbon to conquer England is captured on a beach in Ireland. There he is tried, found guilty and hanged until his death. Lorenzo Degl´Innocenti (Italia, 1976) y Xosé Zapata (España, 1975) son amigos desde el año 2009 cuando Xosé Zapata coproduce el cortometraje de animación dirigido por Lorenzo «Desassossego» (2010). Diez años después siguen siendo amigos y han dirigido juntos «The Monkey».
Lorenzo Degl´Innocenti (Italy, 1976) y Xosé Zapata (Spain, 1975) have been friends since 2009 when Xose Zapata co-produced the animated short film directed by Lorenzo «Desassossego»(2010). Ten years later they are still friends and have directed «The Monkey» together.
